Director Operations & Engineering
The role
- Be the end-to-end owner of product development and operational execution within PhotonFirst – as member of the PhotonFirst Management Team
- Lead, inspire and scale a high-performance team of engineers (Hardware, Software, Application, NPI, Industrialization) and project managers.
- Take charge of industrialization and new product introduction, bridging the gap between Commercial, R&D and production.
- Implement processes and tools that enable effective product development, customer project execution and delivery.
- Actively contribute as a Management Team member to overall company strategy, culture and growth.
- Get it working! Step-in yourself and support getting the customer specific sensing hardware configured and delivered.
You
- Like the dynamics of a small, fast-moving and rapidly changing company;
- Are a People Manager and have proven experience in leading engineering or operations teams;
- Have a passion for high tech and are willing to learn about our unique technology;
- Have 5-10 years of relevant experience in high-tech hardware companies;
- Are sharp, ambitious, and execution-driven, with a hands-on mentality and a strategic mindset;
- Have experience with industrialization, NPI, and project delivery preferably in customer facing setting;
- Have strong project management skills;
- Are able to balance interests in a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled individuals;
- Make complex topics simple, and execute part of the practical work;
- Hold a MSc or BSc degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or similar);
- Are living in The Netherlands and available to operate from our office in Alkmaar.
