Development Engineer
The role
- Work together in an interdisciplinary R&D and engineering team, to develop products from high-level system functional needs, to well-balanced cost-effective, robust and controlled hardware solutions;
- Taking the lead in the overall mechanical design of our unique measurement systems and photonic chip packages, including considerations from electrical and thermal design needs;
- Use of standardized parts, supplier selection and Design for Manufacturing (DfM) considerations;
- Contributing to the documentation and build-up of the overall product dossier;
- Verify design of new product with assemblers;
- Sustained engineering of mature products.
You
- Have a passion for high tech and are willing to learn about our unique technology;
- Like the dynamics of a small, fast-moving company;
- Hold Applied Science (HBO) degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering with at least 5 years of work experience from which 2 years experience in product development in a technical environment;
- Have experience with 3D product design (SolidWorks);
- Apply good practice of product development and documentation, revision and control;
- Affinity with deep-tech small product designs,
- Are enthusiastic, have two rights hands and are always looking for solutions;
- Are living in The Netherlands and available to operate (hybrid) from our office in Alkmaar.
